When R&F began in 1988, they continued a tradition of high-quality commercial encaustic paint production dating back to the late 1940s. R&F encaustic paints are milled with the time-honored methods of paintmaking.
R&F use 100% pure pharmaceutical grade (USP) beeswax, which has been filtered without the use of chemicals, Singapore-grade damar resin and a heavy pigment load. All of this results in the highest quality artist paints on the market.
R&F’s ready-to-use cakes are available in 84 colours and three sizes, but we only stock blacks and whites in the 333mL size. The 333mL cake measures 2.7cm x 8.9cm x 3.2cm.
