..time is an important aspect to them. How it is fluid, fleeting and depth less. It brings with it a convergence of opposites in light and dark. And it is this relationship that it creates, a kind of threshold. The temporality at the vanishing point between darkness and light where time dissolves. I use the sfumato as a symbol. Its sensual, emotional and atmospheric and reflects the transient nature of our earthly existence. Searching for the sublime in the ordinary creates a fantastical dreamy portal to some other world. A transformed reality, a new reality.
