Description

Born in Melbourne in 1957, Eager’s early life was steeped in painting and music. His interest in art took him to study painting at the Victorian College of the Arts where he met fellow painters and became involved with the beginnings of Roar Studios in Fitzroy in 1982. Eager’s exhibiting history spans back to this time and includes regular solo exhibitions nationally, his work has been exhibited in Europe and is represented in many public collections in Australia and many private collections here and overseas.

This survey book illustrates the breadth and depth of his oeuvre, spanning early abstractions of built environments and vast figurative odes to the desert where has lived for 29 years. His more recent work is a further evolvement of his unique response to the natural and built environments.
