R&F’s Pigment Sticks are recognized as the premier oil-based painting stick, but their use goes far beyond painting alone. The product breaks barriers between artistic disciplines, allowing the painter to draw or paint directly onto a surface without brushes, palettes, paint tubes, or solvents. Made by hand using only the basic traditional materials: natural wax (beeswax & plant wax), linseed oil, and pigment. The result is an oil stick with a lipstick soft consistency.
R&F Pigment Sticks are composed of pure alkali refined linseed oil and purified natural plant and beeswax. They contain no driers, no fillers or adulterants and no expedients of any kind and depend upon a very careful balance of oil, waxes and pigment. The result is an intensively pigmented, handmade, traditional artist paint. Pigment Sticks® have none of the additives, extenders, substitutes, or facilitators that are commonly used in industrial production. While the use of these adulterants can save time and reduce cost, they lower the quality of the paint. To do without them it is necessary to create a very precise balance of the ingredients. Consequently our formulas are complex and our manufacturing is labor-intensive, handmade in small batches, carefully milled and molded.
R&F Pigment Sticks are available in two sizes and 91 vibrant colours with a lipstick soft consistency. This 3 pack is a perfect introductory starter to experience the R&F pigment stick line. Includes 3 x 19ML stick (each stick measures 1.9cm x 6cm approx.)
