Faber-Castell | Albrecht Durer Watercolour Pencils
The Albrecht Dürer pencils are Faber-Castell’s artist-quality watercolour pencils. They’re named after the German artist Albrecht Dürer (1471–1528), who painted early watercolours of plants, wildlife and landscapes. The leads dissolve completely in water, stick firmly to the paper and need no fixative. You can use them dry for fine detail, or add water for washes. Depending on the paper, the colour can dissolve completely and then behave just like traditional watercolour paint.
• Lightfast pigments: high-quality, acid-free pigments in bright colours, with a soft, vibrant laydown. Each pencil shows its lightfastness rating on the barrel as one, two or three stars, with three stars the highest
• Strong lead: a thick 3.8 mm lead, reinforced by a special bonding process so it resists breaking
• Comfortable to hold: the hexagonal wooden barrel is comfortable and stops the pencil rolling away
• Sustainable: the wood comes from sustainably managed forests
• Wet and dry techniques: works for both wet-on-dry and dry-on-wet watercolour techniques

Care tip: Don't dip the pencil tips in water. The lead and wood soften, then turn brittle and break easily. Use a wet brush on the pencil marks instead.

For most orders shipping dimensions, weights and conditions meet the pre-requisites of our preferred logistics supplier, Australia Post and charges for either Parcel or Express Post options will be displayed. Other road freight options will be displayed for your selection and convenience.
Some items that you may purchase, can exceed the dimensions, weight and conditional limits for Australia Post and this option may be excluded from the options displayed. Also, due to the dimension and weight conditions of these products, surcharges are often applied separately by the freight companies that make it impossible to calculate correct and final shipping charges online.
