Basic information:

Low-fat (“lean”) painting and thinning medium for oil colours. Recommended for thin grounds.
Characteristics: 

Accelerates drying time slightly  decreases gloss slightly. Thins with hardly affecting the drying time and gloss.
Recommended for thin grounds and to set up transparency paintings on gouache, tempera and acrylic paints.
It accelerates the through-drying of thicker oil paint layers, thus reducing the risk of cracking or other damage. 
